Every six years, names that the World Meteorological Organization’s Region IV Hurricane Committee gives to hurricanes, get recycled. After the tragic loss of life and property last year due to those immensely destructive storms, their 4 hurricane names will not be coming back.
Say goodbye to Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Nate. And say, well, “hello” seems too welcoming, but here are the replacement names: Harold, Idalia, Margot, and Nigel. They’ll appear on the 2023 list of storm names.
