Alex Trebek Is Finished With Chemotherapy And Back To Work On Jeopardy

“Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek has finished chemotherapy and says that he is “back in action.”

Via the show’s Twitter account, Trebek made the announcement.

“I’ve gone through a lot of chemotherapy and thankfully that is over,” Trebek said in the video. “I’m on the mend and that’s all I can say right now.”

Trebek was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March. At that time, he made the joke that he beat the cancer because he still has three years left in his Jeopardy contract.

In May, Trebek updated fans and followers that doctors were thrilled about his response to treatment and that he was near remission.

A spokesperson for the show confirmed that season 36 of the show began production back in July. New episodes will being to air on September 9.
