Blue Origin Launches Jeff Bezos And New Shepard Crew Into Space!

Jeff Bezos blasted into space today on his rocket company’s first flight with people on board, becoming the second billionaire in just over a week to ride his own spacecraft!

The crew consisted of Bezos, his brother Mark, 18-year old Oliver Daeman and 82-year old pilot Wally Funk.

Funk and Daemen became the oldest and youngest people, respectively, ever to travel to space.

They were flying on the New Shepard, the rocket ship made by his space company, Blue Origin.

The flight lasted all of ten minutes but the crew went up more than 60 miles above the earth.

The New Shepard was the second rocket launched into space by a millionaire in over a week. Virgin Airlines owner and philanthropist, Richard Branson, completed the feat on July 11.

“Best day ever!” Bezos said when the capsule touched down on the desert floor in remote West Texas.
