Dancing With the Stars’ Sees First Elimination of the Season
Former Supremes’ star Mary Wilson was the first celebrity to be eliminated from the latest season of “Dancing With The Stars.”
In the end, it was Wilson and her partner Brandon Armstrong and former NFL star Ray Lewis and his partner Cheryl Burke as the bottom two contestants.
Judges have the option to save contestants they want to see move ahead in the competition.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba selected Wilson to stay while Bruno Tonioli cast his vote for Lewis.
That left judge Len Goodman to decide and he said, “if I’m totally honest neither of these couples should be in this position. However they are and it’s very difficult because one, I want to judge from my heart, the other, I have to judge with my brain and my brain says I’ve got to save Ray and Cheryl.”
Wilson danced the cha-cha to Aretha Franklin’s “Think,” although the judges loved Mary’s charm and ability to perform it wasn’t enough to save her from elimination. In its second week, DWTS finds Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, in first place scoring 24 out of 30. Hannah was a ballet dancer during her childhood and Goodman called her waltz, “the best dance of the night.”
Although it was unfortunate to see Wilson leave the show, a bigger question remains. Will we see the return of Sean Spicer’s neon green shirt?
