Don’t Call It A Comeback! Mike Tyson Heading Back To The Boxing Ring For Exhibition Match!

The Baddest Man on the Planet is lacing up the gloves again!

Yesterday, while on ESPN’s First Take, Mike Tyson announced that he’ll be stepping back into the ring as part of his latest venture, Mike Tyson’s Legends Only League.

Tyson said he formed the league after witnessing NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice continue to practice playing football at 57 years old. He decided he wanted to create an outlet for older athletes to continue to display their talent levels.

“I can still do this,” Tyson said. “Just because we’re 54 years old doesn’t mean we have to start a new career and our life is totally over. Not when you feel as beautiful as I do and I’m sure other people feel the same way!”

Tyson’s workout videos at 54 years old have become the stuff of legends.

The former, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world will face another former champion in Roy Jones Jr., in an 8-round exhibition on Sept. 12 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. They won’t be wearing headgear and will be using larger gloves.

The last time Tyson fought was in 2005, while Jones, 51, last saw action in 2018.
