Thirteen of the biggest names in the NFL will join Joan Jett and country superstar Carrie Underwood for this year’s Sunday Night Football open, including 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs.
You’ll be able to see the full version of the 2019 theme — a remake of Jett’s 1988 hit “I Hate Myself for Loving You” titled “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night — for the first time on September 8, before the New England Patriots take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on NBC. But for now, you can check out a behind-the-scenes preview on YouTube.
“I will use any excuse I can to work with Joan Jett,” says Underwood in the preview. “I just hope I can keep up.”
