Great America Sets Reopening Date For May 22; Will Be First California Theme Park To Reopen

Like most of California’s theme parks, California’s Great America has been shut down since March of last year.

However, they’ve just announced that they plan to reopen starting May 22.

The park made the announcement on their website.

They’ve ensured that they are working closely with state industry & government officials to make sure all health & safety guidelines are met upon reopening.

The park will have limited capacity to ensure proper social distancing. Masks will be required, and customers will go through thermal screening at the entrance to check temperatures. Turnstiles to get on the rides will be touchless, opening by scanning tickets.

The Santa Clara-based theme park will be the first in the state to reopen.

Both Disneyland and Universal Studios remain closed.

How do you feel about Great America reopening?
