Inspired By Disney’s NBA Bubble, Florida’s CFO Asks Olympic Committee To Host Olympics If Japan Opts Not To Host

Florida has officially thrown their hat into the ring as an option for the 2021 Olympic Games.

A letter was sent by Florida’s Chief Financial Officer to the Olympic Committee asking for the state to be considered if Japan decides not to host the 2021 Summer Olympics.

The letter mentions the success of  Disney’s “bubble” that was created due to the pandemic and that Disney operations have proven that Florida can handle a large amount of tourists safely.

In the letter, CFO Jimmy Patronis says, “the State of Florida has successfully allowed sports to take place during the pandemic. When most states shut down their sporting events, the city of Jacksonville hosted the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the National Basketball Association set up the “bubble” to hold games in Orlando”.

Do you think that Florida would be a good option for the next Olympics?
