The kids are going back to school, what are you going to do next?
You’re going to Disney World!
What he said…
That’s what Florida mother Lisa DiNoto decided to do after seeing her two boys off on the first day of school. While they were busy introducing themselves to new teachers and classmates, she was celebrating by herself at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
The button says it all!
DiNoto lives about a mile from the park and has made frequent visits in the past with her husband and kids, so she didn’t feel too guilty about partaking in the solo adventure through the Magic Kingdom. “They were excited for their first day at school and I was excited for some time alone. Pickup time came soon enough and all of us had lots of fun sharing the details of our day.”
The responses that DiNoto’s pictures received have been amazing. She also added that she hopes to inspire other mothers to do the same for themselves too.
She went around Main Street USA, Fantasyland and other parts of the park taking photos of castmembers celebrating her lack of kids including posing for shots with Snow White and the Fairy Godmother, who reportedly couldn’t stop laughing about her celebratory day.
The best part of the day, DiNoto said, was “the Fairy Godmother’s reaction. Hands down. She was laughing so hard she was crying and we just started hugging and laughing together. She reached into her sleeve and pulled out a bag of pixie dust and handed it to me and said, ‘This is for you and only you. You use it today.’ It was one of those moments of connection that is really what the parks are all about.”
