NFL Cutting Number Of Preseason Games In Half; Could Potentially Cancel All Presesason Contests

While it was no doubt that sports would look different under the dark shadow of COVID pandemic, the NFL has begun to make drastic changes to their upcoming 2020 season.

According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora the NFL will be shaving two weeks off this year’s preseason.

Week 1 was cut to give players more time to practice before their first game while week 4 because it’s perceived as the most pointless game of the typical, four-game set. At that point, stars don’t suit for the game.

Further reports are suggesting that the league is not done making cuts and we could potentially see the whole preseason get scrapped.

In addition, the league is taking more precautions during the pandemic. Late last week, they the top six to eight rows in every stadium will be blocked off with a tarp.

Would you attend an NFL game this year?
