Northern California’s First Legoland To Boast 1 Million Recreation Of The Bay Area!

Next week, the Bay Area will finally get their own Legoland Discovery Center at the Great Mall in Milpitas.

There are about 30 Discovery Centers around the world and what makes each location unique is that there is meticulous re-creation of the city or region in which they’re located.

And the Bay Area recreation is very meticulous and very massive!

Comprised of over 1.5 million pieces, construction took thousands of hours to completed and was led by Master Model Builder Sam Suksiri. Who is also actually from Milpitas.

The set features four regions of the Bay Area (San Francisco, North Bay, East Bay and South Bay), numerous Bay Area landmarks and even features functioning replica BART trains that arrive and depart from under the set-up.

The set features interactive elements too.

With a flip of switch, you can score a touchdown with George Kittle and shoot hoops inside the Chase Center!

The Great Mall location opens Tuesday, June 8.
