Talk about ringing in the big 4-0 in style.
A British man celebrated his 40th birthday by eating a McDonald’s Big Mac.
And while that may seem normal, it’s the way he did it that’ll leave you going, “huh”?
This a Big Mac that he buried in his backyard over a year ago!
Back in November of 2018, Matt Nadin from the United Kingdom, bought the iconic burger complete with fries and a chocolate shake, then placed it in a Tupperware container and buried it in the yard. 14 months later, he dug up the meal, which was covered in mold, then returned to the same McDonald’s restaurant to eat it.
But, why though?
Nadin said it was for the fun of it – and YouTube views, of course. He went on to say he’s done ‘weird food challenges’ since college and that while the year-old meal was pretty gross, it wasn’t as bad as he expected.
And how did it actually taste?
“The burger actually wasn’t too bad. It was soggy underneath and the lettuce tasted gone off but the meat was just hard.” Nadin added. “The milkshake had gone kind of fizzy and tasted weirdly like a fruit smoothie. I have eaten some pretty weird things in my time and I remember seeing something where someone had preserved a McDonald’s meal for years so I decided to take it a step further and eat it.”
