More than 51 years after The Beatles broke up, new music from the legendary band could be on the way!
Paul McCartney says he hopes to put the wraps on “Now and Then,” an unfinished track that was written by John Lennon.
McCartney says he’d completely forgotten about the song until Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, gave him a bunch of demos that Lennon had recorded at home.
Although the song was originally intended to be released along with “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” in the 1990s, the idea was abandoned at the behest of George Harrison, who called the song “f***ing rubbish.”
“It didn’t have a very good title, it needed a bit of reworking, but it had a beautiful verse and it had John singing it,” McCartney recalls. “But George didn’t wanna do it.”
