Peyton Manning Possible Monday Night Football Host
With Jon Gruden headed for the Bay Area to take over as head coach of the Oakland Raiders, he leaves a vacant chair in the broadcast booth for Monday Night Football. Producers say one star who’s definitely on their short list is retired Colts/Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning.
ESPN’s Stephanie Druley says they’ll approach Peyton about the job. “We would be foolish not to” she says. No word from Payton if he’d be interested.
Peyton was recently honored in Indianapolis where his number was retired and his statue unveiled.
