Postal Service Wants 5 Cent Stamp Increase

The U.S. Postal Service is proposing a 5 cent increase in First Class postage, which will raise the rate from 50 to 55 cents. The measure must first be approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission.

Disclaimer: My dad and my father-in-law are retired Postal Service workers, so my judgement may be a little clouded by many lectures about the awesomeness of the Postal Service, but: THIS IS STILL A HELL OF A DEAL! You can currently pay 5o cents, that’s 50 lousy CENTS to have something physically moved from Norther California to the tip of Florida in a couple days! How is that every possible? Worth every cent and much more.
