Our hearts are heavy as the news unfolds about the shooting at the 41st Annual Gilroy Garlic Festival on Sunday, July 28th.
HUGE thank you to all of the first responders that were on scene and are continuing to work the on-going investigation.
Our thoughts are with the families of the three victims, 6-year-old Stephen Romero, 13-year-old Keyla Salazar, and 25-year-old Trevor Irby.

There has also been a GoFundMe page set up for “The Honey Ladies,” Wendy Towner and her husband, Francisco; a couple that was working at the Garlic Festival that confronted the gunman and were both shot at close range and are facing a lot of surgeries, medical bills and recovery. A Gilroy Garlic Festival Victims Relief Fund has also been set up by the Gilroy Foundation and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation with funds being distributed to victims and to local nonprofit organizations that provide effective relief to those affected. SVCF generously contributed an initial $10,000 to the fund. Click here to donate.

Garlic Festival Benefit Concert
Sunday, August 18th, 2pm – 6pm
Golden State Brew & Grill, 7560 Monterey Road, Gilroy
A benefit event for the families who lost loved ones in the Garlic Festival tragedy. Live music by Cook n’ Fenny, Austin Freeman and the Hard Souls Band, and The Poppy Jasper Band. All donations and raffle proceeds go directly to the families of the victims.
