Prince Speaks Out On “Intolerance” In Note Publicized By His Estate Via Instagram

Yesterday, June 7, would’ve been Prince’s 62nd birthday.

And to commemorate it, his estate released a personal, handwritten note via Instagram.

It reads, “nothing more ugly in the whole wide world than INTOLERANCE (between) Black, white, red, yellow, boy or girl INTOLERANCE.”

The note was captioned, Prince dedicated his life to speaking out against injustice, advocating for black excellence and spreading the message of ‘Love 4 One Another.’

Despite his very private life, Prince was also a social activist. He would play benefit concerts and make large charitable donations without seeking recognition for any of it.

Furthermore, the estate also released a video for his song, “Baltimore,” which was released after the death of Freddie Gray in that city. It was accompanied with the caption, “the system is broken. It’s going to take the young people to fix it this time. We need new ideas, new life…”
