Queen’s Brian May Suffers Heart Attack While Dealing With Gardening Accident

Queen’s legendary guitarist Brian May says he was “could have died” after suffering a heart attack earlier this month.

In an Instagram video, the 72-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer said he suffered a “small heart attack” while dealing with leg pain from a gardening accident.  He says it caused no harm but was “about 40 minutes of pain in the chest and tightness and the feeling in the arms and sweating”.

May says he was pressured to undergo triple bypass surgery but opted for stent surgery instead. He even joked around that his back pain might have something to do with carrying a guitar over his shoulder for 50 years!

“I walked out with a heart that’s very strong now, so I think I’m in good shape for some time to come. And if I’m not, we can have another angiogram,” said May. He also added, “I’m good, I’m here, and I’m ready to rock.”
