You’ll be able to get a first look at the new multi-billion dollar Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco on Saturday when it hosts a “block party” to celebrate its completion after eight years of construction. Regular service in the new structure will kick off on Sunday, August 12th.
People who’ve been up close and personal to the new Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco agree that it will quickly become iconic. It’s breathtaking with its futuristic styling and features, like the 4.5 acre rooftop park, connector bridge, shopping, gondola, and Muni bus service. The magnificent structure stretches three blocks from Second to Beale streets just south of Mission Street, with multiple stories both above and below ground, near the Bay Bridge ramp.
