The first man to portray James Bond on film is gone.
Legendary actor Sir Sean Connery has passed away at the age of 90.
Connery died “peacefully in his sleep” on Saturday, according to a statement by his publicist Nancy Seltzer.
Best known for portraying the suave, British secret agent for seven films, Connery was also known for his roles in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Rock, and 1987’s The Untouchables, a part in which he won an Oscar for.
Connery is survived by his wife Micheline and two sons Jason and Stephane.
According to the statement, the family plans to hold services and a memorial “once the virus has ended.”
