Sharks Pull Off Epic Comeback To Beat Las Vegas In Game 7

What. A. Comeback.

In perhaps the biggest game in team history, the San Jose Sharks pulled off a miraculous comeback in Game 7 of their first-round, Stanley Cup playoff match-up with the Las Vegas Golden Knights, 5-4, in overtime! Their season will continue on!

All the chaos began midway through the third period when they were trailing 3-0. Things were not looking good at all when beloved captain Joe Pavelski took a cross-check to the chest. He went down hard and had to be helped off by teammates. The refs ruled the play a five-minute major penalty against Vegas and the Sharks went on the power play.

And they bit back with authority.

First, it was 3-1.

Then 3-2…

Oh my goodness…

And then Kevin Labanc turned SAP Center into a mad house with this…

What’s even more insane, all of this happened on the same power play!

Image result for that escalated quickly gif

It sure did.

Vegas bounced back to tie the game and send it into overtime. With less than two minutes left into OT, it was Barclay Goodrow who became the Sharks’ unsung hero.

Needless to say, the Shark Tank nearly had the roof come off.

To help put things in perspective, the Sharks faced were down 3 games to 1 and had to fight off having their season being over for three straight games! It was also a bit of sweet revenge to eliminate the Knights as they eliminated the Sharks in last year’s playoffs.

Our boys in teal will only have a few days to rest up, they’ll host the Colorado Avalanche for Game 1 of the second round on Friday.
