Summer weather is here and you can finally get out to the movies! The West Wind Drive-In Theaters opened all three of its locations in California, San Jose’s Capitol Drive-In, Concord, and Sacramento. You’ll pay at the booth then cruise to a parking space–10 feet from other vehicles. Be prepared to stay in your car–it’s a strict rule. You can only get out, wearing a face covering, to use the restroom. And–if you’re sick, stay home.
I’ve been saying that the drive-in should be open since it’s so easy to stay sheltered. A petition went around recently that I signed–maybe that helped! The movies are pretty good, all recent releases. Most are double features. Oh–be sure to have an FM radio for sound. Don’t forget snacks!! The plan for me is to grab a son or 2, pick up a pizza, popcorn, and a couple of drinks then head to the ol’ Capitol Drive-In for my Mother’s Day.
See you at the movies–10 feet apart! –Jona
