Sunday, August 12th will be fun for animal lovers at the Children’s Discovery Museum in partnership with the Palo Alto Humane Society (PAHS). It’s a celebration of the incredible connections between animals and humans. Learn how to safely meet a dog and get tips on how best to enjoy the company of canines. Also part of the connection experience: Luna the chicken and Ginger the pig!

  • Meet PAHS’ furry friends and learn how to safely meet a dog.
  • Say hi to Luna the chicken and Ginger the pig.
  • Join in the fun of animal antics with Clown Mime Pino.
  • Sing along with storyteller and playwright Rhea and her dog Shannon.
  • Enjoy story time featuring Saving Travis, A Rescue Story by PAHS.
  • Watch It’s a Dog’s Day, a Telly Award-winning film by PAHS.
  • Get creative with animal-themed art activities.
  • Check out the exhibit Dogs! And Other Pets Too! in the museum’s art gallery.
