Did you see it? The largest supermoon of the year shone bright over the bay area last night and early this morning. It was so bright, it woke me up at 3am. I thought they’d installed a new streetlight outside my window! It reminded me of that scene from Moonstruck when Cher’s uncle wakes up in the night to marvel “Cosmo’s Moon”.
The full moon technically occured at 6:53 a.m. PST, but if you missed it, don’t worry, the moon will still look full tonight.
There are 3 “supermoons” in 2019 with today’s being the biggest and brightest. The next one is March 21st. For more on the story: Supermoon Guide 2019
