Looks like Kanye West’s bid for the White House has reached an abrupt and expected end.
On the 4th of July, West announced on Twitter that he would be running for President in November. but has had a change of heart since then.
It was too little, too late for the rapper, as he and his team failed to get him added in states like Florida and South Carolina.
“He’s out,” West’s hired adviser Steve Kramer told New York Magazine’s The Intelligencer.
West’s late entry into the race, which is decided in November, meant he would need to scramble to file with the Federal Election Commission in order to appear on any state ballots. The deadline had already passed for several states.
However, those close to him believe he may not be done with a career in politics.
Kramer added, “any candidate running for president for the first time goes through these hiccups.”
