The One Where They Leave Netflix, ‘Friends’ To Depart From The Popular Streaming Site

I’ll be there for you…until the end of the year and then we’re leaving.

And no, it’s not a break!

If you’re making your way through all 10 seasons of “Friends” on Netflix, you might want to hurry up…because it’ll be gone next year.

Yesterday, it was announced that one of the most iconic shows in history will be exclusively joining HBO’s new streaming service, HBO Max.

“Friends” has been on Netflix since 2015.  Last year, they supposedly coughed up $100 MILLION to keep it through 2019.  Which is a lot even for Netflix.  Before that, they were paying $30 million a year for it!

My sentiments exactly.

HBO Max will go live next spring and will also feature “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “Pretty Little Liars”,  an animated“Gremlins” reboot and a thriller called “The Flight Attendant” starring Kaley Cuoco.
