The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Will Have Rides Reopened Starting On Thursday, April 1st!

Yesterday, The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk announced that it’ll reopen this week.

Starting on Thursday, select rides, including the iconic Giant Dipper, will reopen under California’s COVID-19 safety restrictions.

Other rides scheduled to reopen include Pirate Ship, Sky Glider, Shockwave, Undertow, Rock ‘N Roll, Sea Swings, Wave Rider, Tsunami, Twirlin’ Teacups, Cyclone, Ghost Blasters and Space Race.

The rides will only be open to California residents and other restrictions will include mandatory face coverings, social distancing and capacity limits.

Currently, reservations are open for April 1-11. The boardwalk suggests that people make reservations since the park will close based on capacity.

In addition, the nearby Boardwalk Bowl is also scheduled to reopen.
