How’s this for irony…
Up until a few weeks ago, Stephen Curry, the best basketball shooter in the world did not have a basketball hoop at his home!
Because of the pandemic, the two-time NBA MVP was unable to use team facilities or go to a local park to throw up shots.
Noticing the itch in her husband, Ayesha Curry took matters into her own hands and ordered Steph a hoop for the driveway at home. Which was great news for the three-point king but there was still one problem left…
He had to assemble it!
“I got overwhelmed looking at the manual,” Curry told the Wall Street Journal.
After what he could only describe as “a pretty serious effort,” Curry finally succeeded at his unexpected assembly job. It only took him five hours.
“I was very confident in myself going in,” he said. “That was shot down pretty quick.”
After finally completing the project, Curry was able to go back to honing the skillset that has made him a thorn in the paws of his opponents.
“I feel like a little 12-year-old kid out there running around,” he added. “Simulating game shots in my driveway.”
Probably the reaction he had after he finished the hoop
