Wolfgang Van Halen Says No To Rumors That Van Halen Will Continue On Without His Father, Eddie Van Halen

Not even a month after his father’s passing, Wolfgang Van Halen has bashed the rumors about taking over as the new guitarist for Van Halen.

This past weekend, claims were being thrown out on a Wolfgang Van Halen fan page that he would would step in as the band’s lead guitarist in a new lineup that would also allegedly include former vocalist Sammy Hagar, former bass guitarist Michael Anthony, and Eddie’s brother Alex Van Halen on drums.

Wolf was quick to nip the rumor and share his disgust over it on social media.

Eddie Van Halen, 65, died after battling cancer for years and he left behind an impressive legacy as one of the world’s greatest guitarists.

Meanwhile, Wolf is preparing to release his debut solo album, on which he sang and played every instrument. Earlier this year, he said he’s prepared for harsh reactions from longtime fans of his father’s band.

“I’m fully prepared for a wave of hate when my music releases because it won’t be what people think it’ll be. I’m not trying to be my father, I’m trying to be me,” the younger Van Halen said.
