Celebrating the 4th of July with parades and fireworks is a tradition that we have to forego in 2020 due to Covid-19 cancelations. But the show WILL go on–alternatively. The parades and other local fun are virtual and the fireworks are being streamed! Click the link to see what’s NOT canceled in Fremont, Gilroy, Los Altos, Morgan Hill, Santa Cruz Saratoga, Scotts Valley.
I’m happy to say that the huge Morgan Hill Parade is still an event this year, online. The horses and fire engines and marching bands–and an AMERICAN IDOL all gathered separately to perform. And I get to be your announcer for my 16th year. I LOVE this parade!
There are several other Bay Area virtual parades, including Boulder Creek’s that will be streamed. Plus, there are the fireworks. Gilroy seems to be the only city in the Bay Area that will be shooting off a professional show and it’s strictly for folks to enjoy from their homes. But wait–there’s more!
You’ll be able to see the big time displays for New York City, Chicago, Washington DC and several others online. You can watch multiple shows while eating your pizza on your couch without the wind picking up and making you wish you brought an extra blanket!
